Text contains relevant keywords (but is also user-friendly)

The user should know what to do within a few seconds.
Use consistent intuitive navigation.
Always have a link back to the home page.
Check the site work with Flash and Javascript disabled.
From search engines, the homepage is not the only entry page to the site.
SEO Tips
Focus on title tags more than meta tags
Text content should appeal to user first (Google second)
Make keyword research a key part of your SEO strategy
Monitor progress regularly based on selected keywords
All your images should have a clear descriptive ALT tag
E-Commerce Tips
Product description is the customer's final decision maker whether to buy or not (CONTENT)
When a customer wants to purchase make it as simple as possible (USABILITY)
An intuitive checkout process is more important than reducing the steps (USABILITY)
Test the site as a consumer (FUNCTIONALITY)
If a payment processor redirects the customer off the site, tell them first (FUNCTIONALITY)

Write your content for the web.
Proofread, edit, and then proofread again.
Use resizable fonts where possible.
Textual Content should be easy to scan.
Use short paragraphs, bulleted lists, and headings.
